•Replacethesolid-statedriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitrepaired.Theconnectorsandslotofthe
solid-statedrivearenotdesignedforfrequentchangesorreplacement.
•Donotdropthesolid-statedriveorsubjectittophysicalshocks.Putthesolid-statedriveonamaterial,
suchassoftcloth,thatabsorbsanyphysicalshocks.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoverofthesolid-statedrive.
•Donottouchtheconnector.
•Beforeremovingthesolid-statedrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformationonit,andthenturn
offthecomputer.
•Neverremovethesolid-statedrivewhilethecomputerisoperating,insleepmode,orinhibernationmode.
Toreplacethesolid-statedrive,dothefollowing:
1.Disablethebuilt-inbattery.See“Disablingthebuilt-inbattery”onpage77.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Removethebasecover.See“Replacingthebasecover”onpage79.
4.Removethescrewthatsecuresthesolid-statedrive.
