Thebuilt-inbatterywillbeenabledautomaticallywhenthecomputerisconnectedtoanacpoweradapter.
InstallingorreplacingthemicroSIMcard
Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.
Note:Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermightlookslightlydifferentfromtheillustrationsinthistopic.
MicroSIMcardisasmallplasticcardwithintegratedcircuit(IC)chipmountedononesideofthecard.
IfyourcomputersupportswirelessWANconnections,yourcomputermightrequireamicroSIMcardto
establishwirelessWANconnections.ThemicroSIMcardisshippedwithsomecomputermodelsonlyand
youcanpurchaseonewhennecessary.
ToinstallorreplacethemicroSIMcard,dothefollowing:
1.Disablethebuilt-inbattery.See“Disablingthebuilt-inbattery”onpage77.
2.Locatethemicro-SIM-cardtrayattherearsideofthecomputer.
3.Insertastraightenedpaperclipintotheholeinthemicro-SIM-cardtray1.Themicro-SIM-cardtray
ejects.Then,slidethemicro-SIM-cardtrayoutofthecomputer2.
4.IfyouareinstallingamicroSIMcard,gotostep5.IfyouarereplacingamicroSIMcard,gentlytakethe
oldmicroSIMcardoutofthetrayfirst.
