Brightnessmanagement

Toconservepower,theAdaptiveKeysbecomedimgraduallywhenapresenceoranactivityisnotdetected

foraperiodoftime.However,whenapresenceoranactivityisdetected,theAdaptiveKeysbecome

brightimmediately.

TheAdaptiveKeysbrightnessproﬁleisasfollows:

•100%brightnesswhenapresenceoranactivityisdetected

•50%brightnesswhenapresenceoranactivitynotdetectedforthreeminutes

•0%brightnesswhenapresenceoranactivitynotdetectedfor10minutes

TowakeuptheAdaptiveKeys,dooneofthefollowing:

•TapanyoftheAdaptiveKeys.

•Pressanykeyonthekeyboard.

•UsetheTrackPointpointingstickorthetrackpad.

•Usethemouseifavailable.

SettingtheAdaptiveKeys

YoucandothefollowingtocustomizetheAdaptiveKeyssettings:

•ModifytheorderinwhichtheAdaptiveKeysmodesaredisplayedwhenyoutaptheFnkey.

•RemovetheWeb-browsermodeandtheWeb-conferencemodefromtheAdaptiveKeyscyclesequence

whenyoutaptheFnkey.

•SetwhichAdaptiveKeysmodetouseasthequick-accessmode

•Choosewhichapptolaunchwhenyoutapthecloudicon.

•Editauto-changeapplicationsineachmode

TosettheAdaptiveKeys,dothefollowing:

1.OpentheAdaptiveKeyboardSettingwindowbydoingoneofthefollowing:

•TapthesettingsiconintheFunctionmode.

•OpentheLenovoSettingsprogram,andthenclickAdaptiveKeyboard.

•GotoControlPanel,andthenclickHardwareandSound➙AdaptiveKeyboard➙Change

Settings.

2.FollowtheinstructionsonthescreentosettheAdaptiveKeys.
