TheAlways-onUSB3.0connectorisusedforconnectingUSB-compatibledevices,suchasaUSBprinteror
adigitalcamera.
Bydefault,theAlways-onUSB3.0connectorenablesyoutochargesomemobiledigitaldevicesand
smartphonesinthefollowingsituations:
•Whenyourcomputerisonorinsleepmode
•Whenyourcomputerisinhibernationmodeoristurnedoff,butconnectedtoacpower
Ifyouwanttochargethesedeviceswhenthecomputerisinhibernationmodeoristurnedoff,andthe
computerisnotconnectedtoacpower,dothefollowing:
•ForWindows8.1:
1.PresstheWindowskeytogototheStartscreen.
2.ClickLenovoSettings➙Power.
3.IntheEnableAlwaysOnUSBarea,slidethecontroltotherighttoenabletheAlways-onUSB
connector.Then,selectEnableevenwhenthecomputerisoff.
4.ClickOKorApply.
•ForWindows7:
1.StartthePowerManagerprogramandclicktheGlobalPowerSettingstab.
2.SelectbothEnableAlwaysOnUSBandEnableevenwhenthecomputerisoff.
3.ClickOKorApply.
Attention:WhenyouattachaUSBcabletothisconnector,ensurethattheUSBmarkisfacingupward.
Otherwisetheconnectormightbedamaged.
6Comboaudioconnector
Connectheadphonesoraheadsettolistentothesoundfromthecomputer.Youalsocanconnecta
headsettorecordaudioormakecalls.
Note:Thecomboaudioconnectordoesnotsupportaconventionalmicrophone.Formoreinformation,
