Apowerbuttonproblem
•Problem:Thesystemdoesnotrespond,andyoucannotturnoffthecomputer.
Solution:Turnoffthecomputerbypressingandholdingthepowerbuttonfor4secondsormore.Ifthe
systemisstillnotreset,removetheacpoweradapterandthebattery.
Startupproblems
Printtheseinstructionsnowandkeepthemwithyourcomputerforreferencelater.

Sleep(standby)andhibernationproblems
•Problem:Thecomputerenterssleep(standby)modeunexpectedly.
Solution:Iftheprocessoroverheats,thecomputerautomaticallyentersleep(standby)modetoallow
thecomputertocoolandtoprotecttheprocessorandotherinternalcomponents.Checkthesettings
forsleep(standby)mode,usingPowerManager.
•Problem:Thecomputerenterssleep(standby)mode(thesleep/standbyindicatorturnson)immediately
afterPower-onself-test.
Solution:Makesurethat:
–Thebatteryischarged.

Ifthebatteryischargedandthetemperatureiswithinrange,havethecomputerserviced.
•Problem:The“criticallow-batteryerror”messageappears,andthecomputerimmediatelyturnsoff.
Solution:Thebatterypowerisgettinglow.Connecttheacpoweradaptertothecomputerandplugit
intoanelectricaloutlet,orreplacethebatterywithachargedone.
