countrieswithintheEuropeanUnion(EU)andNorway.Appliancesarelabeledin
accordancewithEuropeanDirective2002/96/ECconcerningwasteelectricaland
electronicequipment(WEEE).TheDirectivedeterminestheframeworkforthe
returnandrecyclingofusedappliancesasapplicablethroughouttheEuropean
Union.Thislabelisappliedtovariousproductstoindicatethattheproductisnot
tobethrownaway,butratherreclaimeduponendoflifeperthisDirective.
Usersofelectricalandelectronicequipment(EEE)withtheWEEEmarkingper
AnnexIVoftheWEEEDirectivemustnotdisposeofendoflifeEEEasunsorted
municipalwaste,butusethecollectionframeworkavailabletothemforthereturn,
recycle,recoveryofWEEEandminimizeanypotentialeffectsofEEEonthe
environmentandhumanhealthduetothepresenceofhazardoussubstances.For
