Diagnosingproblems

Ifyouexperienceproblemswithyourcomputer,usetheLenovoSolutionCenterprogramasastarting

pointforsolvingthem.

TheLenovoSolutionCenterprogramenablesyoutotroubleshootandresolvecomputerproblems.It

combinesdiagnostictests,systeminformationcollection,securitystatus,andsupportinformation,along

withhintsandtipsforoptimalsystemperformance.

Troubleshooting

Ifyourcomputerhasanerror,ittypicallydisplaysamessageoranerrorcode,ormakesabeepwhen

youturniton.Whenyouexperienceaproblem,refertothecorrespondingsectionsinthistopictotryto

solvetheproblembyyourself.

Printtheseinstructionsnowandkeepitwithyourcomputerforreferencelater.

Ifyourcomputeriscompletelyunresponsive(youcannotusetheThinkPadpointingdeviceorthekeyboard),

dothefollowing:

1.PressandholdthepowerbuttononeitheryourcomputerortheconnectedThinkPadOneLinkDockor

ThinkPadOneLinkProDock(hereinaftercalledthedock)untilthecomputerturnsoff.Afterthecomputer

isturnedoff,restartbypressingthepowerbutton.Ifthecomputerdoesnotturnon,continuewithstep2.
