Solution:Whenyourcomputerisnotturnedon,pressingtheejectbuttondoesnotcausethedrivetray
toopen.Makesurethatthecomputeristurnedonandthatthedriveconnectorisrmlyconnected
tothecomputer.
Ifthetraystilldoesnotopen,makesurethatthecomputerisrunning,andinserttheendofastraightened
paperclipintotheemergencyejecthole.Thetraywillopen.
•Problem:Anopticalmedium,suchasaCD,DVD,orCD-RWdisccannotberead.
Solution:MakesurethattheCD,DVD,orCD-RWdiscisnotdirty.Ifitis,cleanitwithacleanerkit.
TestanotherCD,DVD,orCD-RWdisc.Ifthecomputercanreadtheotherdisc,therstdiscmightbe
defective.
Makesurethatthediscisloadedonthecenterpivotofthedrivewiththelabelsideup.(Youshould
hearaclick.)
Makesurethatthediscisinoneofthefollowingformats:
–MusicCD
–CD-ROMorCD-ROMXA
–MultisessionphotoCD
–VideoCD
–DVD-ROM(DVD-video)
•Problem:ThecomputercannotplayaCD,orthesoundqualityisnotgood.
Solution:Ensurethatthediscmeetsthestandardsforyourcountry.Usually,adiscthatmeetsthelocal
standardsismarkedwithaCDlogoonthelabel.Ifyouuseadiscthatdoesnotmeetthesestandards,we
cannotguaranteethatitwillplay,orthat,ifitdoesplay,thesoundqualitywillbegood.
•Problem:TheHDDVDtabintheWinDVD8programisdimmedandIcannotuseit.
Solution:YourcomputerdoesnotsupportanHDDVDdrive.
Asoftwareproblem
Problem:Aprogramdoesnotruncorrectly.
Solution:Makesurethattheproblemisnotbeingcausedbytheprogram.
Checkthatyourcomputerhastheminimumrequiredmemorytoruntheprogram.Refertothemanuals
suppliedwiththeprogram.
Checkthefollowing:
•Theprogramisdesignedtooperatewithyouroperatingsystem.
•Otherprogramsruncorrectlyonyourcomputer.
•Thenecessarydevicedriversareinstalled.
•Theprogramworkswhenitisrunonsomeothercomputer.
Ifanerrormessageisdisplayedwhileyouareusingtheprogram,refertothemanualssuppliedwiththe
program.
