regardlessofwhichoperatingsystemyouareusing.However,theoperatingsystemsettingsmightoverride

ThissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtostarttheSetupUtilityprogram.
TostarttheSetupUtilityprogram,dothefollowing:
1.Makesureyourcomputeristurnedoff.
2.RepeatedlypressandreleasetheF1keywhenturningonthecomputer.Whenyouseealogoscreen,
releasetheF1key.TheSetupUtilityprogramopens.
Note:Ifapasswordhasbeenset,theSetupUtilityprogrammenuwillnotbedisplayeduntilyoutype

TheSetupUtilityprogrammenulistsvariousitemsaboutthesystemcongurationsettings.Toviewor

63.Then,followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
WhenworkingwiththeSetupUtilityprogram,youmustusethekeyboard.Thekeysusedtoperformvarious
tasksaredisplayedatthebottomofeachscreen.
Usingpasswords
ByusingtheSetupUtilityprogram,youcansetapasswordtopreventunauthorizedaccesstoyour
computeranddata.Thefollowingoptionsareavailabletohelpyousetanadministratorpassword,a
power-onpassword,oraharddiskdrivepassword:

SetPower-OnPassword
HardDiskPassword
Youdonothavetosetapasswordtouseyourcomputer.However,usingapasswordimprovescomputing
