3.Theprintersignalcableissecurelyconnectedtothecorrectparallel,serial,orUSBconnectoronthe
computer.

1.Anydevicedriversandothersoftwarethatcamewiththeprinterarecorrectlyinstalled.
2.Youhaveassignedtheprinterportcorrectlyinyouroperatingsystem,applicationprogram,orBIOS

IftheserialdevicehasitsownOn/Offswitch,makesureitisintheOnposition.
IftheserialdevicehasanOnlineswitch,makesureitisintheOnlineposition.
Iftheserialdeviceisaprinter,makesurepaperisloadedcorrectly.
Verifythatanysoftwaresuppliedwiththeserialdeviceiscorrectlyinstalled.Refertothedocumentation

Makesurethattheserial-portadapter,ifyouaddedone,isproperlyinstalledandrmlyseated.
