InitializingtheRAIDvolume
ThissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoinitializetheRAIDvolumeyouhavecreated.Afteryoucreate
anewRAIDvolume,itisrecommendedthatyouinitializethecreatedRAIDvolume.However,initializing
theRAIDvolumewilldeletethedataontheselectedRAIDvolume.
ToinitializetheRAIDvolumeyouhavecreated,dothefollowing:
1.Dooneofthefollowing:
•SelectManagement➙Initializefromthemainmenuandthenusethespacekeytoselectthe
desiredRAIDvolume.PressF10tostartinitializingtheRAIDvolume.
•SelectObjects➙LogicalDrivefromthemainmenuandthenselectthedesiredRAIDvolume.
PressF10tostartinitializingtheRAIDvolume.
2.Whenprompted,selectYesandpressEntertocontinuetheinitialization.
3.WhenyounishinitializingtheRAIDvolume,pressEsctogobacktothemainmenu.
Duringtheprocessoftheinitialization,youcanpressEscforthefollowingoptions:
•Stop-stopthecurrentprocess
•Continue-continuethecurrentprocess
•Abort-exitthecurrentprocess
