Completingthepartsreplacement

Tocompletethepartsreplacement,youmustproperlyroutethecablesinsidetheserver,reinstallthecooling
shroud(ifnecessary),reinstalltheservercover,reconnectalltheexternalcablesand,forsomedevices,
updatethermwareandruntheSetupUtilityprogramtodofurthersetup.

Attention:Forpropercoolingandairow,reinstalltheservercoverbeforeturningontheserver.Operating
theserverforextendedperiodsoftime(morethan30minutes)withtheservercoverremovedmight
damageservercomponents.

Toreinstalltheservercoverandreconnectcablestoyourserver,dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrewsare
leftinsideyourserver.
2.Ensurethatallinternalcablesareroutedcorrectlyandsecuredbyanycableclipsortiesintheserver.
Keepcablesclearofthehingesandsidesoftheserverchassistoavoidinterferencewithreinstallingthe
coolingshroudandtheservercover.Thefollowingillustrationshowsanexampleofthecableroutingin
thechassiswithonebackplaneandfour3.5-inchharddiskdrives.
