After successfully adding the IP camera to the application, the IP camera is
displayed offline.
Answer:
1. Verify if the IP camera is on the same network as the network storage device.
2. Verify if the IP address, Manufacturer, and Model names are appropriate.
3. Reset the IP camera to factory state and add the IP camera once again.
4. The camera was switched off after adding.
After adding the cameras how do I view the recordings?
Answer:
Go to the Playback tab, select the camera, and search for the recordings.
After adding the cameras, search for recordings does not display any
recordings?
Answer:
1. After the camera is added, by default it is configured for activity recording, which means the
recording will be performed only if there is any activity in the field of view of the camera. Start
manual recording on the camera if the recording is required on a continuous basis irrespective of the
activity.
2. If the camera is added recently or a recent activity must be viewed, perform the search again after
five minutes.
3. Check the event log if there is any storage error or video loss from the camera.
After adding the cameras, how do I view the live video from the camera?
Answer:
After the camera is added, go to the Live View tab. Select the layout, select the camera, and drop the
camera to the required quadrant to view the video.
In Live View, the view does not display any video. But, it displays the camera
name though the camera is not offline.
Answer:
1. Ensure that VLC media player is installed and the plugin or active X control is enabled.
2. Ensure that the firewall is disabled for the VLC media player.
3. If you are accessing the application from a different network, ensure that the Remote View
Setting option is enabled under Setting > Remote View Setting screen.
