AfterenablingtheICEthermalalertfunction,whencriticalthermalsituationsoccur,suchasmalfunctioning

fans,abnormallyhightemperature,andpoorcoolingperformances,analertlogwillbewrittenintothe

Windowssystemlog.Thealertlogcanhelpyouidentifythethermalproblems.

ToconﬁguretheICEthermalalertfunction,dothefollowing:

1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage91.

2.FromtheSetupUtilityprogrammainmenu,selectPower.

3.SelectIntelligentCoolingEngine(ICE).TheIntelligentCoolingEngine(ICE)windowisdisplayed.

4.SelectICEThermalAlert.TheICEThermalAlertwindowisdisplayed.

5.SelectEnabledorDisabledasdesired.

6.PressF10tosavechangesandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.See“ExitingfromtheSetupUtility

program”onpage96.

YoumighthavetopressEscseveraltimes.Dooneofthefollowing:

•Ifyouwanttosavethenewsettings,pressF10tosaveandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.

•Ifyoudonotwanttosavethesettings,selectExit➙DiscardChangesandExit.

•Ifyouwanttoreturntothedefaultsettings,pressF9toloadthedefaultsettings.
