device.Iftheserialdevicehasitsownpowercord,makesureitisattachedtoaproperlygrounded
electricaloutlet.
•IftheserialdevicehasitsownOn/Offswitch,ensureitisintheOnposition.
•IftheserialdevicehasanOnlineswitch,ensureitisintheOnlineposition.
•Iftheserialdeviceisaprinter,ensurepaperisloadedcorrectly.
•Verifythatanysoftwaresuppliedwiththeserialdeviceiscorrectlyinstalled.Refertothedocumentation
fortheserial-deviceoption.
•Ensurethattheserial-connectoradapter,ifyouaddedone,isproperlyinstalledandfirmlyseated.
