Basics

Herearesomebasicpointsaboutkeepingyourcomputerfunctioningproperly:

•Keepyourcomputerinaclean,dryenvironment.Makesureitrestsonaﬂat,steadysurface.

•Donotplaceitemsontopofthemonitororcoveranyoftheventsinthemonitororcomputer.These

ventsprovideairﬂowtokeepyourcomputerfromoverheating.

•Keepfoodanddrinksawayfromallpartsofyourcomputer.Foodparticlesandspillsmightmakethe

keyboardandmousestickandunusable.

•Donotgetthepowerswitchesorothercontrolswet.Moisturecandamagethesepartsandcausean

electricalhazard.

•Alwaysdisconnectapowercordbygraspingtheplug,butnotthecord.

Keyboard

Tocleanyourcomputerkeyboard,dothefollowing:

1.Applysomeisopropylrubbingalcoholtoasoft,dust-freecloth.

2.Wipeeachkeytopsurfacewiththecloth.Wipethekeysonebyone;ifyouwipeseveralkeysatatime,

theclothmayhookontoanadjacentkeyandpossiblydamageit.Makesurethatnoliquiddripsonto

orbetweenthekeys.
