YourcomputerhasonememoryslotforinstallingorreplacingaDDR3SODIMMthatprovidesuptoa

maximumof4GBsystemmemory.Whenreplacingthememorymodule,usea2GBor4GBDDR3SODIMM.

Toreplacethememorymodule,dothefollowing:

1.Turnoffthecomputeranddisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.

2.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage27.

3.Locatethememoryslot.See“Locatingpartsonthesystemboard”onpage8.

4.Opentheretainingclipsandgentlypullthememorymoduleoutofthememoryslot.

5.Alignthenotch2onthenewmemorymodulewiththekey1inthememoryslotandtheninsertthe

newmemorymoduleintotheslotatanangleofabout20degrees.Ensurethatthenewmemorymodule

isinsertedﬁrmlyandthenpivotthememorymoduledownwarduntilitsnapsintoposition.

Notes:

•Carefullyhandlethememorymodulebyitsedges.

•Ensurethatthememorymoduleissecuredintheslotanddoesnotmoveeasily.
