•Toturnoffyourcomputer,pressandholdthepowerbuttonfor4secondsormore.Ifthecomputerstill
doesnotrespond,removetheacpoweradapterandthebattery.
•Yourcomputermightlockwhenitenterssleepmodeduringacommunicationoperation.Disablethe
sleeptimerwhenyouareworkingonthenetwork.
Thecomputerdoesnotstartfromadeviceyouwant.
Dothefollowing:
1.CheckthesettingsunderStartupmenuofBIOS.MakesurethattheBootPriorityOrderoptionstarts
fromthedeviceyouwant.
2.Alsomakesurethatthedevicefromwhichthecomputerstartsisenabled.UndertheStartupmenu,
makesurethatthedeviceisincludedintheBootPriorityOrderlist.
3.PressF12whentheLenovologoappearsonthescreenwhilethecomputerisstartinguptoselect
thedeviceyouwantthecomputerstartsfrom.
Theconnectedexternaldevicedoesnotwork.
Makesurethat:
•DonotconnectordisconnectanyexternaldevicecablesotherthanUSBcableswhilethecomputeris
turnedon;otherwise,youmightdamageyourcomputer.
•WhenusingahighpowerconsumptionexternaldevicessuchasanexternalUSBopticaldrive,use
externaldevicepoweradapter.Otherwise,thedevicemaynotberecognized,orthesystemmightbe
turnedoff.
