Youcanreplacetheharddiskdrivewithanewone,whichcanbepurchasedfromyourLenovoreseller
oramarketingrepresentative.
Prerequisitesfortheprocedure
Attention:Theharddiskdriveisverysensitive.Incorrecthandlingcancausedamageandpermanentloss
ofdata.Observethefollowingguidelines:
•Replacetheharddiskdriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitrepaired.Theconnectorsandslotofthehard
diskdrivearenotdesignedforfrequentchanges,ordriveswapping.
•Donotdropthedriveorsubjectittophysicalshocks.Putthedriveonamaterial,suchassoftcloth,that
absorbsthephysicalshock.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoverofthedrive.
•Donottouchtheconnector.
•Beforeremovingtheharddiskdrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformationonit,andthenturn
thecomputeroff.
•Neverremovethedrivewhilethecomputerisoperating,insleepmode,orinhibernationmode.
Toreplacetheharddiskdrive,dothefollowing:

1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.Wait
threetoveminutestoletthecomputercool.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.

4.Loosenthescrews1,andthenremovethecover2.
