Completingthepartsreplacement
Aftercompletingtheinstallationorreplacementforallparts,youneedtoreinstallthecomputercoverand
reconnectcables.Dependingonthepartsyouinstalledorreplaced,youmightneedtoconrmtheupdated
informationintheSetupUtilityprogram.RefertoChapter6“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage55.
Toreinstallthecomputercoverandreconnectcablestoyourcomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Makesurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrews
areleftinsideyourcomputer.See“LocatingmajorFRUsandCRUs”onpage78forthelocationsof
variouscomponentsinyourcomputer.
2.Makesurethatthecablesareroutedcorrectlybeforereinstallingthecomputercover.Keepcablesclear
ofthehingesandsidesofthecomputerchassistoavoidinterferencewithreinstallingthecomputer
cover.
3.Lowerthedrivebayassembly.See“Accessingthesystemboardcomponentsanddrives”onpage128.
4.Ifyouhaveremovedthefrontbezel,reinstallit.
5.Positionthecomputercoveronthechassissothattherailguidesonthecomputercoverengagethe
railsonthechassis.Then,slidethecomputercovertothefrontofthecomputeruntilitsnapsinto
positionandisclosed.Then,installthetwoscrewstosecurethecomputercover.
