Completingthepartsreplacement
Aftercompletingtheinstallationorreplacementforallparts,youneedtoreinstallthecomputercoverand
reconnectcables.Dependingonthepartsyouinstalledorreplaced,youmightneedtoconfirmtheupdated
informationintheSetupUtilityprogram.RefertoChapter6“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage55
.
Toreinstallthecomputercoverandreconnectcablestoyourcomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrewsareleft
insideyourcomputer.See“LocatingmajorFRUsandCRUs”onpage74forthelocationsofvarious
componentsinyourcomputer.
2.Ifyouhaveremovedthefrontbezel,reinstallit.
3.Ensurethatthecablesareroutedcorrectlybeforereinstallingthecomputercover.Keepcablesclearof
thehingesandsidesofthecomputerchassistoavoidinterferencewithreinstallingthecomputercover.
4.Alignthecoverwiththechassis,andthenclosethecovertoengagethecoverlatch.Usethekeys
attachedattherearofyourcomputertolockthekeylockthatisbuiltintothecomputercover.
5.Ifthereisapadlockavailable,lockthecomputercover.
6.Ifthereisanintegratedcablelockavailable,lockthecomputer..
