Clearingtheeventlogs
Tocleartheeventlogs,completethefollowingsteps.
Note:ThePOSTeventlogisautomaticallyclearedeachtimetheserverisrestarted.
Step1.Turnontheserver.
Step2.Whentheprompt<F1>Setupisdisplayed,pressF1.Ifyouhavesetbothapower-onpassword
andanadministratorpassword,youmusttypetheadministratorpasswordtoviewtheerrorlogs.
Step3.Useoneofthefollowingprocedures:
TocleartheIMMsystem-eventlog,selectSystemEventLogs-->SystemEventLog.Select
ClearSystemEventLog;then,pressEntertwice.

Whenyouturnontheserver,itperformsaseriesofteststochecktheoperationoftheservercomponents
andsomeoptionaldevicesintheserver.Thisseriesoftestsiscalledthepower-onself-test,orPOST.
