ThinkServerEasyManageCoreServerhasbeeninstalled,youcanusetheThinkServerEasyManageAgent
installertoinstalltheagentonotherserversandclientsonthenetwork.
Also,theThinkServerEasyStartupprogramprovidesanoptiontoeitherinstalltheThinkServerEasyManage
Agentaspartoftheoperatingsysteminstallationprocessorinstalladesktopicontoassistwiththe
installationoftheThinkServerEasyManageCoreServeraftertheoperatingsystemhasbeeninstalled.
Installationrequirements
BeforeinstallingThinkServerEasyManagesoftwareonyourserver,yourenvironmentmustmeetthe
followingrequirements:
•®MicrosoftWindowsServer2008isinstalledontheserverwhereyouintendtoinstalltheCoreServer.
•TheoriginalWindowsServeroperatingsysteminstallationCDsareavailableincaselesareneeded
whileinstallingtheprerequisites.
•TheserverhasInternetaccesstoobtainprerequisitesandtoactivatethesoftwareaftertheinstallationis
complete.
•TheserverhasastaticIPaddress.
•Theserverisnotadomaincontroller.However,itisrecommendedtohavetheserverjoinadomain.
•TheaccountthatyouusetologinandtoinstalltheCoreServerhasAdministratorprivilegesonthe
serverwithfullread/writeaccess.Ideally,thisaccountisalsoaDomainAdministratoraccount.This
accountwillbeusedtocreatetheinitialadministrator-levelaccountusedtologintotheThinkServer
EasyManageconsole.
•AnypreviousagentfromEasyManageorLANDeskmustberemovedpriortoinstallingtheCoreServer
andManagementConsole.

ThinkServerEasyManagesoftwaresuccessfully.Toensureaclean,workinginstallationofThinkServer
