InstallingthePCI-Xriser-cardpowercable
ToinstallthereplacementPCI-Xriser-cardpowercable,completethefollowingsteps.
1.Connecttheriser-cardpowercabletothePCI-Xriser-cardassembly.
2.Installtheadapterintheriser-cardassembly(see“InstallingaPCIcard”onpage132).
3.Installtheriser-cardassembly(see“Installingtheriser-cardassembly”onpage157).
4.Goto“CompletingtheFRUreplacement”onpage172.
UpdatingtheUniversalUniqueIdentier(UUID)
TheUniversalUniqueIdentier(UUID)mustbeupdatedwhenthesystemboardisreplaced.Usethe
AdvancedSettingsUtilitytoupdatetheUUIDintheUEFI-basedserver.TheASUisanonlinetoolthat
supportsseveraloperatingsystems.Makesurethatyoudownloadtheversionforyouroperatingsystem.To
downloadtheASUandupdatetheUUID,completethefollowingsteps:
1.DownloadtheAdvancedSettingsUtility(ASU):
a.Gotohttp://www.lenovo.com/support.
b.Enteryourproductnumber(machinetypeandmodelnumber)orselectServersandStoragefrom
theSelectyourproductlist.
c.FromFamilylist,selectThinkServerRS210;,andclickContinue.
d.ClickDownloadsanddriverstolinktotheASUprogram.
