Toremoveahypervisorashdevice,completethefollowingsteps:
1.Readthesafetyinformationin“ImportantSafetyInformation”onpage1and“Guidelinesfortrained
servicetechnicians”onpage115.
2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercords.
3.Removethecover(see“Removingandinstallingthecover”onpage119).
4.Removetheriser-cardassembly(see“Removingtheriser-cardassembly”onpage156).
5.UnlocktheretentionlatchontheUSBconnectorbysqueezingthetworetentionclipstowardeachother
(see“System-boardinternalconnectors”onpage108.
6.Grasptheashdeviceandpulltoremoveitfromtheconnector.
7.Pressdownontheretentionlatchtoreturnittothelockedposition.
8.Ifyouareinstructedtoreturntheashdevice,followallpackaginginstructions,anduseanypackaging
materialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
InstallingaUSBembeddedhypervisorashdevice
Toinstallahypervisorashdevice,completethefollowingsteps:
1.Readthesafetyinformationin“ImportantSafetyInformation”onpage1and“Guidelinesfortrained
servicetechnicians”onpage115.
2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercords.
3.Removethecover(see“Removingandinstallingthecover”onpage119).
4.Removetheriser-cardassembly(see“Removingtheriser-cardassembly”onpage156)(see
“System-boardinternalconnectors”onpage108
.
5.UnlocktheretentionlatchontheUSBconnectorbysqueezingthetworetentionclipstowardeachother
(see“System-boardinternalconnectors”onpage108.
6.AligntheashdevicewiththeUSBconnectoronthesystemboardandpushitintotheUSBconnector
untilitisrmlyseated.
7.PressdownontheretentionlatchtolocktheashdeviceintotheUSBconnector.
8.Installtheriser-cardassembly(see“Installingtheriser-cardassembly”onpage157).
9.Goto“CompletingtheFRUreplacement”onpage172.

Toreplacetheoperatorinformationpanelassembly,usethefollowingprocedures:

4.Disconnectbothcablesfromtheoperatorinformationpanelassembly.
5.RemovethescrewsthatsecuretheoperatorinformationpanelassemblytotheDVDbayhousing.
