StartingtheSetupUtility
TostarttheSetupUtility,dothefollowing:
Step1.Turnontheserver.
Note:Approximately1to3minutesaftertheserverisconnectedtopower,thepower-control
buttonbecomesactive.
Step2.Whentheprompt<F1>Setupisdisplayed,pressF1.Ifyouhavesetanadministratorpassword,
youmusttypetheadministratorpasswordtoaccessthefullSetupUtilitymenu.Ifyoudonottype
theadministratorpassword,alimitedSetupUtilitymenuisavailable.
Step3.Selectsettingstovieworchange.

ThefollowingchoicesareontheSetupUtilitymainmenufortheUEFI.Dependingontheversionofthe
rmware,somemenuchoicesmightdifferslightlyfromthesedescriptions.
•SystemInformation
Selectthischoicetoviewinformationabouttheserver.Whenyoumakechangesthroughotherchoices
intheSetupUtility,someofthosechangesarereectedinthesysteminformation;youcannotchange
settingsdirectlyinthesysteminformation.ThischoiceisonthefullSetupUtilitymenuonly.
–SystemSummary
Selectthischoicetoviewcongurationinformation,includingtheID,speed,andcachesizeofthe
microprocessors,machinetypeandmodeloftheserver,theserialnumber,thesystemUUID,andthe
amountofinstalledmemory.WhenyoumakecongurationchangesthroughotheroptionsintheSetup
Utility,thechangesarereectedinthesystemsummary;youcannotchangesettingsdirectlyin
thesystemsummary.

Selectthischoicetoviewthesystem-boardidentier,therevisionlevelorissuedateofthermware,
theintegratedmanagementmoduleanddiagnosticscode,andtheversionanddate.
ThischoiceisonthefullSetupUtilitymenuonly.
