Toreplacetheopticaldrivecable,completethefollowingprocedures:
RemovingtheDVDdrivecable
ToremovetheDVDdrivecable,completethefollowingsteps:
1.Readthesafetyinformationin“ImportantSafetyInformation”onpage1and“Guidelinesfortrained
servicetechnicians”onpage115.
2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectallpowercords.
3.Removethecover(see“Removingandinstallingthecover”onpage119).
4.Removetheriser-cardassembly(see“ReplacingthePCIriser-cardassembly”onpage156).
5.RemovetheDVDdrive(see“ReplacingaDVDdrive”onpage163).
6.Fromthefrontoftheserver,pressthecableconnectorlatch1andslidetheDVDdrivecabletothe
unlockposition;then,slidethecableconnectortotherightandpullthecableoutfromtheconnector.
7.RemovethecablefromtheDVDdrivecageconnector.
8.DisconnecttheDVDdrivepowercablefromthepowersupplycable.
9.IfyouareinstructedtoreturntheDVDdrivecable,followallpackaginginstructions,anduseany
packagingmaterialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
InstallingtheDVDdrivecable
ToinstalltheDVDdrivecable,completethefollowingsteps:
