Disposeofthebatteryasrequiredbylocalordinancesorregulations.
Toinstallthereplacementbattery,completethefollowingsteps:
1.Followanyspecialhandlingandinstallationinstructionsthatcomewiththereplacementbattery.
2.Insertthenewbattery:
a.Orientthebatterysothatthepositivesidefacesup.
b.Tiltthebatterysothatyoucaninsertitintothesocketonthesideoppositethebatteryclip.
c.Pressthebatterydownintothesocketuntilitclicksintoplace.Makesurethatthebatteryclipholds
thebatterysecurely.
3.Makesurethattheriser-cardassemblyisfullyseatedintheconnectorsonthesystemboard.
4.Iftheriser-cardassemblyisanoptionalPCI-Xriser-cardassembly,makesurethattheriser-cardpower
cable1isconnectedtotheriser-cardassembly.
5.Installthecover(see“Removingandinstallingthecover”onpage119).
6.Slidetheserverintotherack.
7.Reconnecttheexternalcables;then,reconnectthepowercordsandturnontheperipheraldevicesand
theserver.
Note:Youmustwaitapproximately1to3minutesafteryouconnectthepowercordoftheservertoan
electricaloutletbeforethepower-controlbuttonbecomesactive.
8.StarttheSetuputilityandresettheconguration(see“StartingtheSetupUtility”onpage198fordetails).
Setthesystemdateandtime.
Setthepower-onpassword.
Reconguretheserver.
