Removingahot-swapharddiskdrive

The3.5-inchdrivehot-swapservermodelssupporteithertwoSAS3.5-inchharddiskdrivesortwoSATA

3.5-inchharddiskdrives.The2.5-inchdrivehot-swapservermodelssupportfour2.5-inchSAShard

diskdrives.

Theremovalandinstallationproceduresarethesameforanyofthesedrives.Theillustrationsinthis

procedureshow3.5-inchSASdrives.

Toremoveahot-swapharddiskdrive,completethefollowingsteps.

Attention:Toavoiddamagetotheharddiskdriveconnectors,makesurethattheservercoverisinplace

andfullyclosedwheneveryouinstallorremoveaharddiskdrive.

1.Movethehandle1onthedrivetotheopenposition(perpendiculartothedrive).

2.Slidethereleaselatch(grayon3.5-inchharddrivesandorangeon2.5-inchharddrives)gentlytothe

lefttounlockthedrivehandle.
