1.Boottheservertoanoperatingsystemthatissupportedbythermwareupdatepackagethatyou

2.Performthermwareupdatebyfollowingtheinstructionsthatareinthermwareupdatepackage

3.Restarttheserver.
4.Atthermwaresplashscreen,pressF3whenyouarepromptedtorestoretotheprimarybank.The
serverbootsfromtheprimarybank.

Automatedbootrecovery(ABR)
IftheserverisbootingupandtheIMMdetectproblemswiththeserverrmwareintheprimarybank,itwill
automaticallyswitchtothebackuprmwarebankandgiveyoutheopportunitytorecovertheprimarybank.
Torecovertotheserverrmwareprimarybank,completethefollowingsteps.
1.Restarttheserver.
2.WhenthepromptpressF3torestoretoprimaryisdisplayed,pressF3torecovertheprimarybank.
PressingF3willrestarttheserver.
Threebootfailure
Congurationchanges,suchasaddeddevicesoradapterrmwareupdatescancausetheservertofail
POST(power-onself-test).Ifthisoccursonthreeconsecutivebootattempts,theserverwilltemporarilyuse
thedefaultcongurationvaluesandautomaticallygoestoF1Setup.Tosolvetheproblem,completethe
followingsteps:
1.Undoanycongurationchangesthatyoumaderecentlyandrestarttheserver.
2.Removeanydevicesthatyouaddedrecentlyandrestarttheserver.
3.Iftheproblemremains,gotoSetupandselectLoadDefaultSettings,andthenclickSavetorestorethe
serverfactorysettings.
