Completingthepartsreplacement
Aftercompletingtheinstallationorreplacementforallparts,youneedtoreinstallthecomputercoverand
reconnectcables.Dependingonthepartsyouinstalledorreplaced,youmightneedtoconrmtheupdated
informationintheSetupUtilityprogram.RefertoChapter7“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage65.
Toreinstallthecomputercoverandreconnectcablestoyourcomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Makesurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrews
areleftinsideyourcomputer.See“Locatingcomponents”onpage10forthelocationsofvarious
componentsinyourcomputer.
2.Ifyouhaveremovedthefrontbezel,reinstallit.
3.Makesurethatthecablesareroutedcorrectlybeforereinstallingthecomputercover.Keepcablesclear
ofthehingesandsidesofthecomputerchassistoavoidinterferencewithreinstallingthecomputer
cover.
4.Alignthecoverwiththechassisandthenclosethecovertoengagethecoverlatch.
5.Usethekeytolockthekeylockonthecomputercover.See“Lockingthecomputercover”onpage24.
6.Ifthereisapadlockavailable,lockthecomputercover.See“Installingapadlock”onpage25.
7.Ifthereisanintegratedcablelockavailable,lockthecomputer.See“Attachinganintegratedcable
lock”onpage26.
8.Reconnecttheexternalcablesandpowercordstothecomputer.See“Locatingconnectorsontherear
