•AlwaysinstallDIMMsinthenumericalorderindicatedin“Locatingpartsonthesystemboard”onpage11.
Toinstallorreplaceamemorymodule,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputeranddisconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
2.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage30.
3.Laythecomputeronitssideforeasieraccesstothesystemboard.
4.Locatethememoryslots.See“Locatingpartsonthesystemboard”onpage11.
5.Removeanypartsthatmightpreventyouraccesstothememoryslots.
6.Ifyourcomputermodelcomeswithmemorycoolers,youneedtoremovethememorycoolerstoaccess
thememoryslots.Toremoveamemorycooler,disconnectthememoryfancablefromthesystem
board.Pullthetabonthememorycooleroutward,pivotthememorycooler,andthendisengagethe
rearofthememorycooler.
