computer.

•IftheserialdevicehasanOnlineswitch,makesureitisintheOnlineposition.
•Iftheserialdeviceisaprinter,makesurepaperisloadedcorrectly.
•Verifythatanysoftwaresuppliedwiththeserialdeviceiscorrectlyinstalled.Refertothedocumentation

•Makesurethattheserial-portadapter,ifyouaddedone,isproperlyinstalledandrmlyseated.
