DISK/VOLUMEINFORMATION,suchasIDnumber,name,RAIDlevel,stripsize,volumesize,status,
andwhetheritisabootablevolume.
DeletingRAIDvolumesusingtheIntelRSTecongurationutility
ThissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtousetheIntelRSTecongurationutilitytodeleteRAIDvolumes.
TodeleteaRAIDvolume,dothefollowing:
1.EntertheIntelRSTecongurationutility.See“EnteringtheIntelRSTecongurationutility”onpage74.
2.PresstheupanddownarrowkeystoselectDeleteRAIDVolume.PressEntertoentertheDELETE
VOLUMEMENUwindow.
3.PresstheupanddownarrowkeystoselecttheRAIDvolumethatisnotneeded.PressDeltodeleteit
fromtheRAIDVolumeslist.
4.Whenprompted,pressYtoconrmthedeletionoftheselectedRAIDvolume.
Resettingharddiskdrivestonon-RAID
Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoresetharddiskdrivestonon-RAID.
Toresetharddiskdrivestonon-RAID,dothefollowing:
1.EntertheIntelRSTecongurationutility.See“EnteringtheIntelRSTecongurationutility”onpage74.
2.PresstheupanddownarrowkeystoselectResetDiskstoNon-RAID.PressEntertoenterthe
RESETRAIDDATAwindow.
3.Usetheupanddownarrowkeysandthespacekeytomarkindividualharddiskdrivetobereset,
andthenpressEntertocompletetheselection.
4.Whenprompted,pressYtoconrmtheresetaction.
5.IftheharddiskdriveyouresetispartofaRAIDvolume,thecomputermightdetectthattheRAIDvolume
isdegraded.Inthiscase,youarepromptedtoselectaharddiskdrivetoinitiatearebuildprocess.
6.Selectanavailableharddiskdrive,andthenpressEntertoinitiatetherebuildprocess.
Note:PressEsctocancelarebuildprocessandkeeptheRAIDvolumeinthedegradedstatus.Inthe
MainMenuwindowunderDISK/VOLUMEINFORMATION,youwillseethestatusoftheRAIDvolumeis
changedtoDegraded.
