ThissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoinstallorreplaceaPCIcard.Yourcomputerhastwostandard
PCIcardslots,twoPCIExpressx4cardslots,andtwoPCIExpressx16graphicscardslots.
ToinstallorreplaceaPCIcard,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputeranddisconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
2.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage30.
3.OpenthePCIcardretainerbyliftingtheretainerandthenpivotingitout.

4.DependingonwhetheryouareinstallingorreplacingaPCIcard,dooneofthefollowing:
•IfyouareinstallingaPCIcard,removetheappropriatemetalcardslotcover.
