Attention:Donotopenyourcomputerorattemptanyrepairbeforereadingandunderstandingthe“Important

Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoremovethecomputercover.
CAUTION:
Turnoffthecomputerandwaitthreetoveminutestoletthecomputercoolbeforeremovingthe
computercover.
Toremovethecomputercover,dothefollowing:
1.Removeanymediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.
2.Disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
3.Disconnectthepowercords,Input/Outputcables,andanyothercablesthatareconnectedtothe

4.Removeanylockingdevicethatsecuresthecomputercover,suchasapadlockoranintegratedcable
lock.See“Lockingthecomputercover”onpage23and“Attachinganintegratedcablelock”onpage26.
5.Disengagethecoverlatch1andremovethecover.Placethecoveronaatsurface.
