Completingthepartsreplacement
Aftercompletingtheinstallationorreplacementforallparts,youneedtoreinstallthecomputercoverand
reconnectcables.Dependingonthepartsyouinstalledorreplaced,youmightneedtoconrmtheupdated
informationintheSetupUtilityprogram.RefertoChapter6“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage37
.
Toreinstallthecomputercoverandreconnectcablestoyourcomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Ensurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrewsareleft
insideyourcomputer.See“LocatingmajorFRUsandCRUs”onpage56
forthelocationsofvarious
componentsinyourcomputer.
2.Ifyouhaveremovedthefrontbezel,reinstallit.
3.Ensurethatthecablesareroutedcorrectlybeforereinstallingthecomputercover.Keepcablesclearof
thehingesandsidesofthecomputerchassistoavoidinterferencewithreinstallingthecomputercover.
4.Alignthecoverwiththechassis,andthenclosethecovertoengagethecoverlatch.Usethekeys
attachedattherearofyourcomputertolockthekeylockthatisbuiltintothecomputercover.
5.Ifthereisapadlockavailable,lockthecomputercover.
6.Ifthereisanintegratedcablelockavailable,lockthecomputer..
7.Reconnecttheexternalcablesandpowercordstothecomputer.See“Locatingconnectorsonthe
rearofyourcomputeronpage56.
8.Toupdateyourconguration,refertoChapter6“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage37.
