Replacingamicroprocessor

Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoreplaceamicroprocessor.
Dependingonthemodel,yourcomputermightcomewithoneortwomicroprocessors.Forcomputer
modelswithonemicroprocessor,themicroprocessorisinstalledinthemicroprocessorsocket1andthe
microprocessorsocket2isprotectedbyaplasticsocketcover.Youcanpurchaseamicroprocessoroption
kitfromLenovoandinstallthesecondmicroprocessortoexpandcomputercapabilities.
CAUTION:
Theheatsinkandmicroprocessormightbeveryhot.Turnoffthecomputerandwait
threetoveminutestoletthecomputercoolbeforeremovingthecomputercover.

•Ensurethatyouinstallthecorrecttypeofmicroprocessoroptionyourcomputersupports.Whentwo
