Completingthepartsreplacement
Aftercompletingtheinstallationorreplacementforallparts,youneedtoclosethecomputercoverand
reconnectcables.Dependingonthepartsyouinstalledorreplaced,youmightneedtoconrmtheupdated
informationintheSetupUtilityprogram.RefertoChapter4“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage61
.
Toclosethecomputercoverandreconnectcablestoyourcomputer,dothefollowing:
1.Makesurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrews
areleftinsideyourcomputer.See“Locatingcomponents”onpage10
forthelocationsofvarious
componentsinyourcomputer.
2.Ifyouhaveremovedthefrontbezel,reinstallit.T oreinstallthefrontbezel,alignthethreetabson
thefrontbezelwiththecorrespondingholesinthechassisandpivotthefrontbezelinwardsuntil
itsnapsintoposition.
3.Makesurethatthecablesareroutedcorrectly.Keepcablesclearofthehingesandsidesofthe
computerchassistoavoidinterferencewithclosingthecomputercover.
4.Lowertheopticaldrivebay.
5.Closethecomputercover.
6.Ifthereisanintegratedcablelockavailable,lockthecomputer.See“Integratedcablelock”onpage53.
7.Reconnecttheexternalcablesandpowercordstothecomputer.See“Locatingconnectorsandparts
ontherearofyourcomputer”onpage7.
