2.MakesurethattheUSBcongurationoptionaldevicesaresetcorrectlyinthe
SetupUtilityprogram.
3.IfyouareusingaUSBhub,disconnecttheUSBdevicefromthehuband
connectitdirectlytotheserver.
Solvingpowerproblems
Powerproblemscanbedifculttosolve.Forexample,ashortcircuitcanexistanywhereonanyofthe
powerdistributionbuses.Usually,ashortcircuitwillcausethepowersubsystemtoshutdownbecauseof
anovercurrentcondition.Todiagnoseapowerproblem,usethefollowinggeneralprocedure:
1.Turnofftheserveranddisconnectallacpowercords.
2.Checkforloosecablesinthepowersubsystem.Alsocheckforshortcircuits,forexample,ifaloose
screwiscausingashortcircuitonacircuitboard.
