OBSTACLE SENSOR SYSTEM
⚠ DANGER
Never walk in front of the Tempo Walk while it’s in operation. The obstacle sensor
system is designed to assist the operator in detecting obstacles while using Tempo
Walk. The system is equipped with 3 Ultrasonic Sensors (See Pic on Page 3 – Tempo
Walk Overview – 1 - 47640674001 – Ultrasonic Sensors (3 qty) – Obstacle
Detection) which provide obstacle support from the front of the Tempo Walk. Should an
obstacle be detected by the sensors, Tempo Walk will immediately disconnect from the
transmitter, and apply the brakes.
Note: Once a sensor has been activated, there is a 30 second delay before it is ready
for use. This “delay” allows the Tempo Walk operator time to move the unit into a clear
space.
DISABLING A SENSOR OR THE ENTIRE SENSOR SYSTEM
Should a sensor be malfunctioning Tempo Walk is equipped with software to disable it,
and allow the Golfer to enjoy the rest of their round. If any individual sensor activates 3
times within 30 minutes, that sensor is disabled and will provide no protection. There will
be a voice audio letting the operator know which sensor is disabled (i.e. “Left” sensor
disabled) Should the entire sensor system activate more than 5 times within 30 minutes
the entire system will be disabled.
CAUTION
Once a sensor or the entire sensor system is disabled it will provide no obstacle
assistance until the problem is remedied. The operator should exercise extreme caution
during this condition.
HOW TO RESET “DISABLED” SENSORS OR SYSTEM
Once the necessary repairs have been made, follow these steps.
Step 1: Turn on the Tempo Walk, and wait for the start-up chime
Step 2: Wait for the audio about the disabled sensors (approx. 5 secs)
Step 3: Press the neutral button “N” twice (Located on the dashboard)
