Underexposure, for example due to an aperture
too small for the subject. If the flash unit has an
output reduction mode, a chosen lower output
can mean that the unit is still ready to use
although the flash LED has gone out.
Displays in manual flash mode
is not displayed even though the flash unit is
turned on and ready to use:
A shutter speed faster than 1/50s is manually
set on the camera, but the flash unit is not set
to the "High speed synchronised flash” func-
tion. In such cases, the LEICA M7 does not
trigger the flash unit even if it is turned on and
ready to use.
Note: High speed synchronised flash is only pos-
sible in the flash unit’s manual mode, not for com-
puter or TTL mode.
