4.4.6 Theparanbaths
• Theinstrumenthasthreeheatedparanbaths(58), each
with a max. capacity of 4.9 l of liquid paran.
• Theyarelocatedbehindaap(57) over the reagent compart-
ment with the system bottles (15).
To access the ap, open the two lower Plexiglas doors (11, 12).
• Theindividualparanbathscanbepulledoutforlling
(Fig. 41) and can also be removed from the compartment
for cleaning.

• Thebathscanbelledwithliquidparanmanuallyorfrom
the paran station. It is also possible to ll with pellets - the
melting time then is approx. 720 min.

Caution!
Never attempt to forcefully remove the wax
baths when the instrument is cold, because
doing so can damage the instrument.
Caution!
Proceed slowly and carefully when pulling out
or removing a paran bath—never jerk it
out.Theparaninsideitisuidandhot—it
can cause burns. The handles and covers are
also hot, therefore always wear gloves and
proceed carefully.
