• Alternatively,thenumberofcassettes,numberofprotocolsanddayssincethelastchangeand
the reagents to be replaced can be displayed according to standard laboratory replacement
schedule.
• ReagentsarechangedbypullingoutadrawerwithsixRTU-bottles.Thebottlescanthenbe
replaced simply, quickly and without bending down, which is ergonomically more comfortable.
• AspecialllerneckenablesbothLeicaRTU-bottlesandcompatible,commerciallyavailable
bottles to be used.
• Alternatively,reagentscanbeexchangedviatheinfiltrationchamberinaninstrument-
controlled lling and draining process, i.e. with a connected (reagent) hose.
• Fivelitersofmeltedparancanbekeptinreadinessintheintegratedparanstation.
• Theparanstationautomaticallyllsapreviouslydrainedparanbath.
• Inthisprocess,thesystemdetectsifaparanbathisnotlledtothecorrectlevel,andthe
paran station automatically compensates.
• Uptothreeparanbathsareusedforthetissueinltration.Thesecanbeeasilyremovedfor
cleaning simply by pulling them out.
• Usedparanispumpedoutviatheinltrationchamberbyinstrument-controlleddraining,
i.e. with a connected (paran) hose.
• Theinternal,uninterruptiblepowersupplyoftheLeicaASP6025preventstissuespecimensfrom
drying out or suering other possible damage, in the event of power failures for example, by
automatically lling the retort with a safe reagent.
• Whenpowerisrestored,theinltrationprogramisautomaticallyresumedandcompleted.
