6. Cleaning and Maintenance
• Rellandreconnectthebottlesoncecleaned.
Make sure the bottle lids are tight and the bottles are properly seated in their home position
at the rear of the reagent module.
• Whilethesystembottlesareoutsideofthereagentcabinet,wipethestainlesssteelinnerwalls
of the reagent cabinet with a cloth moistened with a mild detergent.

• EmptyandcleantheRTU-bottles(Fig. 237).
Using a bottle brush and a laboratory detergent in warm water.
The system bottles must be properly engaged in the home position in the con-
nection manifolds at the rear inner wall of the reagent module. Failure to cor-
rectly plug reagent containers into the manifold will cause an interruption to
the processing run and may result in spilling of reagents.
The level can be identied by simply looking through the RTU bottles if these
are cleaned regularly to remove clinging contamination.
Leica RTU-bottles must never be cleaned in a dishwasher.
The reagent containers are NOT dishwasher-proof!
