5.5.4 Starting a program
Before an inltration program can be started, a number of conditions must be met. The following steps are essential in order
to be able to start a program:
2. Then press the PROGRAMS or FAVORITES to switch to the window in which the program is located (Fig. 180 and 181).
3. In that window, touch the corresponding program button to start the program.
4. The SMART SCREEN switches to the program interface where all of the steps for the program in question are displayed
graphically.
If some cases, you may have to conrm certain screen messages or enter values. If threshold values have been set, the
number of cassettes to be processed must be entered.
The instrument control checks the remaining melting time for the paran baths when the program starts. If the runtime
is expected to be extended, the operator must conrm the existence of an end time delay.
5. Put the baskets in the retort and press START.
5. Operation
1. Make sure that the correct mode for the program to be started has been set in the system settings (for more information,
refer to Section 5.1.2).
All inltration programs have to be validated before use, i.e. tissue processing with patient tissue for
diagnostics, by the laboratory itself according to the local or regional accreditation requirements.
For an Autorotation program, CONCENTRATION MUST have been set, and the specied lling scheme for
system bottles and RTU-bottles must be present before the program can be started.
