Dual-Function AFCI/GFCI Receptacles are the latest innovation in electrical
safety, and a Code approved alternative to dual-function AFCI/GFCI breakers. Designed
to protect against electrical fires caused by arc faults and injury due to electrical
shock, these new devices are compliant with NEC
®
AFCI and GFCI requirements in
kitchens and laundry areas for new construction, circuit modifications/extensions and
replacement receptacles.
Like GFCI receptacles, AFCI/GFCI Receptacles are installed in the living space
so homeowners can see the indicator light and perform TEST and RESET locally.
The radiant
®
AFCI/GFCI Receptacle has separate indicator lights for AFCI and GFCI,
making it easy to distinguish between a trip caused by an arc fault and a trip caused
by a ground fault. This means less confusion for the homeowner and therefore fewer
callbacks for the contractor.
Unlike AFCI/GFCI breakers—which must match the brand of the breaker box—
radiant
®
AFCI/GFCI Receptacles fit any wall box, reducing inventory.
The GFCI function has a Self-Test feature that tests itself every three seconds—instead
of the industry-standard three hours—providing an unprecedented level of protection.

collection of wiring devices and wall plates.
FSUL Listed (Federal Specification WC596).
Feed-through protection.
Patented SafeLock
®
Protection—if critical components are damaged
and ground fault protection is lost, power to the receptacle is
disconnected.
Prevents line-load miswire—no power to the face or downstream
receptacles if wired incorrectly.
AFGF152TRW
Ground terminal back-wire for
fast installation.
Tamper-Resistant automatic shutter
system prevents young children from
inserting common household objects.
Black shutters essentially “disappear”
into the background for an invisible
effect preferred by end users.
High-impact-resistant,
thermoplastic construction
for superior strength and
durability.
Auto-ground clip assures a positive
ground to metal box.
Two back-wire holes per
termination add wiring
flexibility, eliminate pigtailing
and save box space.
Two indicator lights, one for GFCI and one
for AFCI. Easy to distinguish between trip
caused by arc fault and trip caused by ground
fault. GFCI indicator light flashes if device
fails the self-test, signaling that the AFCI/
GFCI receptacle should be replaced.
