At Legrand, we’ve been providing real solutions to real problems for so long,
it’s almost second nature. From the world’s first GFCI receptacle in 1971, to
the introduction
of ground-breaking SafeLock
®
Protection some 30 years later, we’ve been
delivering GFCI innovations designed to enhance safety, shorten installation
times, and increase productivity for more than four decades.
Now, we’ve reset the bar on electrical safety again with our newest
innovation: the P&S Self-Test GFCI Receptacle.
Designed to exceed UL requirements, it’s the only GFCI that tests itself every
three seconds—instead of the industry standard three hours—providing a
level of reliable electrical protection that’s unprecedented. The new device is
also designed with a thinner profile to make more room for wires in the wall
box. That means it’s not only safer, but easier to install as well.
In the same way that Pass & Seymour GFCI Receptacles have been reliably
protecting users for almost 40 years, they also protect the environment as well
with this product line’s commitment to RoHS-Compliance. RoHS (Restriction of
Hazardous Substances) is a directive that requires manufacturers of certain
types of electronic and electrical equipment to eliminate hazardous materials
used in their products. Legrand is committed to product safety, but also our
responsibility as an industry leader.

Protection:
if critical components are
damaged and ground fault
protection is lost, power to the
receptacle is disconnected.
The indicator light flashes if
the device fails the self-test,
signaling that the GFCI should
be replaced.
Ground terminal clamp allows for
fast installation.
Captive screws make for
easier installation.
High-impact-resistant,
thermoplastic construction for
superior strength and durability.
Auto-ground clip assures a
positive ground to metal box.
Prevents line-load reversal miswire:
no power to the face or downstream
receptacles if wired incorrectly.
