Remove the rubber ring 
from 
between the plates.

Reassemble the side plates 
with 
a new rubber ring. 
When 
reassembling the 
friction 
wheel assembly, make 
sure 
that 
rubber ring 
is 
centered and seated properly 
between  the  side  plates.  Tighten  each  screw  only 
)) 
one 
rotation 
before turning the wheel clockwise and 
proceeding 
with 
the next screw on the 
other 
side 
of 
the wheel. Repeat this process several times 
to 
ensure 
the  plates  are  secured 
with 
equal  force  between 
90N.m(6 ft-lbs) and 130N.m(9 ft-lbs). 
4.  Slide the 
friction 
wheel assembly back 
onto 
the 
hex shaft. Make 
sure 
the 
shift 
lever pin is in place in the bearing housing. Follow 
the steps above in reverse 
order 
to 
reassemble components. 
GEARSHIFT ADJUSTMENT 
1.  Disassemble the lower end 
of 
the 
shift 
rod 
from 
the 
shift 
arm.

Loosen the lock 
nut 
in the upper end

Touch up all  rusted

chipped paint surfaces; sand  affected 
areas before painting, and use a rust preventative

rusting.

Tighten all loose screws, bolts, and locknuts. Repair 
or 
replace 
any damaged parts.

Cover the machine and store 
it 
in a clean, dry place
