WARNING: Do not operate Earth Auger if it is damaged or

not securely and fully assembled.

To Assemble Auger Bit

□ Insert the shaft of a large Phillips screwdriver into the cross

hole in the adapter (13).

□ Hand tighten the Fishtail Point (C) into the opposite end of the

adapter. Avoid contact with the Earth Blade (14) and cutting

edge of the Fishtail Point (C).

□ Grip the side of the Fishtail Point (C) with an adjustable

wrench and tighten while holding the Phillips screwdriver to

secure the Auger bit (B) from rotating.

To Assemble Auger Bit to Powerhead

□ Move the On/Off Switch (3) to the off position.

□ Remove the Spark Plug (7) boot from the Spark Plug (7) and

secure the boot away from the engine and frame.

□ Insert the Powerhead (A) output shaft into the Auger Bit

adapter (13) and align the top hole of the Auger Bit (B) to the

hole at the output shaft.

□ Insert the bolt (E) through the hole in the Adapter (13) and

Powerhead shaft (A).

□ Install locknut (E) and tighten with wrenches provided (D).

□ Reinstall the Spark Plug (7) boot onto the Spark Plug (7).
